Cooking Style: Shrimp cocktail






B (the hubs) is (almost) famous for his shrimp cocktail. I decided I would give it a go. I must say it came out pretty good! He did "coach" me through it, and it once seemed impossible, but now, it's definetely doable.

Here are the ingredients you will need:
1 small yellow onion
1 small tomato (I used cherry because that is all we had)
1 c of cilantro
a tiny bit of jalapeno
3 lemons
1 small jar of cocktail sauce
1 bag of cooked, deveined and tail off shrimp
1 avocado
a tad of Tabasco sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Mix the first 4 indredients in a food processor. Pour the cocktail sauce in a bowl. Add a bit of water, so the sauce it's not too thick. Add the ingredients from food processor into bowl, squeeze lemons into bowl, add the shrimp (already thawed out), tabasco sauce and add the avocado. Add salt and pepper to taste.
It taste much better cold, so I put it in the freezer for about 20 minutes.
Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
