Cooking Style: Chicken Marsala







I have not been posting that many recipe posts lately. We are eating : ), just nothing new and worth writing about. I have made chicken marsala in the past from Skinny Taste, but I found another recipe today and decided to try it. I was actually in an office during lunch (working) and The Chew was on. The chef made Chicken Marsala and he made it seem simple enough. Of course, it was not so simple for me, because I still consider myself a new cook (within the last year), but it was delicious!

Enough words. Here is the recipe from The Chew:
Ingredients-

6 boneless (skinless chicken thighs that are pounded thin)
1 pound mushrooms (cremini or white - sliced thinly)
2 shallots (sliced thinly)
5 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup marsala wine
3 tablespoons butter (cubed)
1/3 cup parsley (chopped for garnish)
salt and pepper to taste
flour (for breading)
1 cup water (optional)

I also made this great salad:
Ingredients-

Small Onion
Red bell pepper
Lettuce
1 Avocado
1 Lemon
1 tbsp of olive oil
salt & pepper

Mix them all together in a bowl and you have a great salad.
