Rodeo Time

So, it is that time again were we get the inner cowgirl out of all of us in Houston. This is the only time most of us will go for this look. We don't always have western wear on like the movies like to portray us : ) The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is here!
Here is the white dress I just got at Marshall's. My hubby said that everyone at the Miranda Lambert concert (including herself) were wearing the same white dress. What can I say? We all have great taste : )

White dress: Marshall's (19.99), Jacket: Palais Royal (old), Boots: Nina via Macy's, Jewelry: Forever 21, Purse: Coach (borrowed), Scarf: Jessica Simpson via Marshall's

Work Syle: Red jacket

Ok, so I thought I would try my own version of the boyfriend jacket. I've had this suit jacket for years and finally decided to wear it again. I ended up not wearing the scarf to work. I thought it was cute but maybe too stylish : )
I'm trying to decide if finding a great deal at the store or turning an old item into something "new" the best way to go? Nothing beats finding a great deal, but saving $ and using my own items is also great!

Weekend Style: White Dress

So, I had been wanting a white dress for forever! I saw one at Marshall's for $19.99 and I did not get it. Luckily, I went back a few days later (like 5!) and it was still there! I knew I had to get it, especially for the price. I did not even try it on. The first time I put it on was to take this picture and I love it!

Dress: Marshall's ($20), Belt: Vintage (my mom's from the 80s!) and shoes: Aldo

I'm sure I will find lots of ways to wear this white dress but this is the first look that I came up with.

Do you own a white dress? How do you wear it?

Celeb Designers

So, while having too much time online and reading magazines (because of my surgery), I found out great celeb designers at stores I usually do not shop at. One was Payless and the other was Kohl's.

Here is the Christian Siriano tote at Payless. For $25 it is a steal! I even had a $4 coupon since the first Payless did not have it in stock.

Here are the Rock and Republic cobalt blue shoes at Kohl's. I happen to get online last night and a fashion blogger talked about Kohl's and I went to check out their shoes online. I fell in love with these shoes online. I went today and they only had two pairs left: 7.5 and 9. I usually buy 8 in pumps but I went ahead and bought the 7.5. They are a little snug, not too bad, but I absolutely love them! I had a coupon too (20% off) so instead of $48.99, I got them for about $40!

I can not wait to wear them!

Work Style: Blazer and jacket

Sorry for the long absence. I had my son's 3rd birthday party to plan (and that took a lot of planning) and then had outpatient surgery a few days later. I had plenty of time to lay around bed while recopurating and got lots of different ideas. I'll start with work clothes since that is the majority of the outfits.
