Closet Remix: Aqua pencil skirt

Outfit on left
Outfit on right

Happy Friday!
This week's closet remix is my aqua pencil skirt. This skirt is a recent buy from The Limited and I have worn it in two very different ways here. I think I have reached my max on pencil skirts, so this might be the last new one you will see. Lol
Have a great weekend!

Cooking Style: No bake Nutella balls

I can not find the original recipe I used to make these awesome No bake Nutella balls. But here is one that is similar from And I must say, my favorite dessert recipe by far, and the easiest to make!

Work Style: Chambray and polka dots

Happy Thursday!
I can't believe it's Thursday already! Today's look is a mix between casual and fun. This skirt is a buy from Ebay. When I first got it, I was very dissapointed in the material. What do you expect when you pay $12!? I had it sitting in my closet for weeks, and I didn't even bother hanging it up. I decided to wear it with this chambray shirt and I must say, I like it much better now. It looks better when it is on and I guess, it has become part of my closet now, since it's hanging up now : )

Work Style: Animal Print

Top: NY & Co (old) * Skirt: The Limited $27 * Sweater: Cherokee via Target (girls dept.)$12 * Shoes: Carlos Santana via Macy's (old) * Pearl Earrings: Bought in Ibiza, Spain a few years ago * Necklace: Target (old)

Happy Wednesday!
It looks like animal print is the "it" print this fall. I've been seeing it everywhere, and I am going to love wearing it with different pieces. This great sweater was a find at Target (by my sister). She bought the brown/gold/black one while I got the gray one, and we plan on switching them out. And she found it in the girls department. One good thing about being petite : )
How are you adding animal print to your closet?

Life Style: Jayden's First fall soccer game

Happy Tuesday!
I had a crazy busy weekend with soccer, a baby shower and a Wedding. Phew! But I finally got my new lens! It's a Nikkor 55-200 mm and got it on Ebay. I "test drove" my cousin's lens, and I'm so glad I did. Her first lens was too big for my (Nikon) D3100 and this lens is perfect. The thing about a new lens, it always takes some time to get used to it. I am glad I had a few shots to take while watching Jayden play. He scored a goal (yay!) but have to be honest about it. He kicked it all the way to the goal, and was off a little, so he picked up the ball (a big no-no in the soccer world) and kicked right in! It was the cutest thing to see. Too bad I did not get it on video. But I got something even better on video. I'll have to post that soon : )

Happy Friday!
Here is this week's Closet Remix: Pencil skirts. Pencil skirts are my number one staple for work, and here are 8 ways I have worn them. I don't do a lot of black, mainly because I love color : ) I am looking forward to pairing my pencil skirts with tights in the fall/winter and adding more layers to stay warm.
What is your work closet staple?

Happy Thursday!
I have been finding great things at Forever 21 lately. I always check online first, and then I go to the actual store (I'm not much a online clothes shopper). This skirt was another great buy, and then I noticed this past weekend, that they have it in navy blue as well! At first, I did not know what to pair it with, but after browsing through Polyvore, I paired these pieces together. The skirt is a much better quality than I expected it to be. And of course, I have now added the hundredth pencil skirt to my wardrobe : )

Happy Wednesday!
This blouse is a recent buy (this weekend) from Forever 21. I had a few things to return and I could not find anything. I found this blouse on my way to pay, and I am so glad I did! It is definetely one of my favorites, and so sad I could not find it online or anything like it. As soon as I saw it, I knew I would pair it with these beatiful magenta pants. So, it is navy for two days in a row.

Happy Tuesday!
I have always loved navy. It's so refreshing to see navy as the new black. This top is also another Ann Taylor buy during their 30% off sale. It is a tunic, but tucked into a pencil skirt, it works great. I can't wait to wear it with black leggings and brown boots this fall.
How are you wearing navy?

Here is another cobalt blue and turquoise look. What is it about these two colors that I am loving lately? (Last seen here) These pants were another Ann Taylor buy during their 30% off sale a couple of weeks ago. I am looking forward to wearing them into fall, but I know I have a couple more weeks of summer left in them.

Here are a few pictures from my Grandma's 80th birthday party. It was truly a blessing to celebrate such a special occassion with her. She is one my heroes and I have always looked up to her. Our family is from Peru, so we decided to do the theme in "Evertyhing Peru". From the food, to the performances, to the decorations in the Peruvian flag colors (red and white),to the cake, we wanted to bring Peru back to her even if it was just for one night.
