Work Style: Leopard and chambray

Top: Target * Skirt: Target * Necklace: Premier Designs Jewelry (borrowed) * Shoes: Payless * Bag: Louis Vuitton (old) * Bracelets: gifted

Happy Monday!
We had a great weekend watching Jayden play his first T ball game and hang out with family. We are getting used to our routine with the twins and Jayden. I am learning to balance my morning routine, which is practically none, lol. I have no time to change my mind, so I usually have my outfit picked out and ready to go from the night before.

Today's look is all about leopard with a pop of pink. I added the chambray shirt to keep the look casual but professional. This chambray shirt was one of my best buys, at only $15! I like how Target has a Weekly special with top styles.

Here is today's Closet Remix. I recently bought this light chambray top and I have worn it three very different ways. What a versatile piece! I am looking forward to showing you guys more ways to style this shirt.

Have a great weekend!

Work Style: Chambray and print skirt

Top: Target * Skirt: Forever 21 (old) * Shoes: Nine West via Lord & Taylor * Bag: Cole Haan * Necklace: Groopdealz

Happy Thursday,
I just got back from a business trip. It's been a busy few days of going back to work, and then flying out early Monday morning.
Today's outfit is one I wore to church but I can wear this to work as well. Another great chambray look for work, and I can throw on a blazer for a more professional look as well.

Casual Style: Chambray and boyfriend jeans

Top: Target (on sale for $15)* Jeans: Forever 21 (similar) * Blazer: Macys (old) * Bag: Rebecca Minkoff via Marshalls * Shoes: Rock & Republic via Kohls (in black) * Watch: Geneva * Bracelets: Macys

Happy Wednesday!
Excuse the photo bomb. Jayden loves to take pictures with me and my hubby caught part of his foot.
Another boyfriend jeans look and this time I added a blazer. I could wear a blazer every day! Too bad the weather in Houston does not permit it. A blazer makes any outfit classier and the boldness of the color adds sophistication. I could swap out the jeans and pair this outfit with a skirt for work, or pencil pants as well.
How do you wear a blazer?

Cooking Style: Whole wheat banana nut pancakes

Hi friends,
I made these delicious pancakes over the weekend. They were a hit at my house and we ate every little piece. It is a simple and healthy recipe to follow.

1 3/4 c of whole wheat flour (I use King Arthur)
2 tbsp of brown sugar
3 tbsp of apple sauce
1 egg
1/4 tsp of salt
1 tbsp of baking powder
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 c of chopped walnuts
1 1/2 c of milk
2 bananas cut into pieces

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. In another bowl combine wet ingredients (milk, apple sauce, egg, vanilla). Combine with dry ingredients. Mix bananas and walnuts. Fry in a small pan. Enjoy!

Weekend Style: Phillip Lim for Target dress

Dress: Phillip Lim for Target * Shoes: Rock & Republic for Kohls * Necklace: Stella & Dot * Bag: Target

Hi all,
I am showing you guys my one and only buy from the infamous Phillip Lim for Target line. Just a week ago the line debuted and it was one of the top selling designer lines. I should have bought the handbag I wanted online early that morning after feeding one of my twins. By the time I made it to the store, all bags were sold out. This dress does not do it justice hanging on the rack. It truly is a great dress, even with the simple material is made of. I am looking forward to showing you all so many ways to wear it. I decided on cobalt blue shoes and bag because of my love for cobalt right now.
Did you guys get anything from this line? If so, what did you buy?

Weekend Style: Leather and stripes

Top: Ann Taylor * Skirt: Princess Vera Wang for Kohls (last year) * Shoes: Steve Madden via Marshalls * Necklace: H&M : Clutch: Simply Vera Wang for Kohls * Faux Leather jacket: Forever 21 (similar save, splurge)

Happy Saturday,
Ok, so I've seen a lot of tulle skirts and leather jacket looks from fashion bloggers lately. This is as close as I can get to a tulle skirt from my wardrobe. This little skirt is from last year's Princess Vera Wang for Kohls line. It's a great skirt, just a little short, and I liked pairing it with a tough piece like this leather jacket.
(My 4 year old loves to be in these pictures with mommy : ))
I like to add that I get so much inspiration from other fashion bloggers! We are like little marketing machines for retailers and designers : )
And after many years of no color (other than my natural color), I took the plunge and added highlights!

Closet Remix: Cobalt blue jeans

From left to right:
Outfit 1
Outfit 2

Happy Friday!
Today's Closet Remix is my cobalt blue jeans. They are so versatile and can be dressed up or down. I dressed it up with a pale pink blouse and pumps on the first look, and dressed it down a bit with wedges and a chambray top on the right. The color of these jeans work well with an even more casual look, like a pair of coverse and a tee.
Which look is your favorite?

Have a great weekend!

Casual Style: Chambray and cobalt blue

Top: Target (on sale for $15) * Jeans: SO via Kohls * Shoes: DSW * Bag: Target (on sale at stores) * Watch: Anne Klein via Nordstrom * Earrings: Ann Taylor (old) * Necklace: gifted

Here is a more casual look with my favorite cobalt blue jeans. I love the look of chambray and denim, and so many bloggers pull it off so well. I like adding casual wedges, but flats work well with this outfit too. I need a little more height and will wear flats when running around with the kids, but other than that, I like wearing some type of heel.
Do you like the denim on denim look?
