Work Style: Pink and purple

Top: Forever 21 (similar from Dillards) * Skirt: J Crew Factory (here in other colors) * Shoes: Mossimo via Target (old) * Bag: Louis Vuitton (old) * Necklace: Ebay * Bracelets: Macys

Happy Wednesday!
You can tell by the colors I'm wearing here that it is still not cold in Houston. I love "girly" colors and decided to match my bright pink top and purple skirt together. It was an inspiration from this picture from Atlantic Pacific. We are still waiting for cooler temps, but until then, I will continue wearing spring-like colors.
It's been hard taking outfit pictures lately. I dropped one of my favorite lenses (earlier this year) when I set it on the couch with the self timer. So now I am forced to use the tripod every time. I try not to rush in the mornings, but I'm always rushing. Lol I need to simplify my morning routine and find something that works.

Have a great day!

Life Style: Weekend Happenings

Hi guys,
Here are a few pictures from our weekend. We had quite a few events we attended on Saturday! So I boycotted on Sunday and only went to church : ) I have a love/ hate relationship with the busy-ness of life. I loved staying home on Sunday and caught up on laundry and cleaning up. The kids do much better relaxing on Sunday as well. Anyways, that also meant no blogging on Sunday for me. I usually do a week worth of posts on Sunday. I will edit/ add from iPad throughout the week. But it was nice to relax and enjoy the kids on Sunday!

Big brother Jayden making Ava laugh and giggle.

I love this sweet face. She was my serious girl at first and all of a sudden, she loves smiling and laughing away.

Aiden napped in his crib while Ava and Jayden played. The twins are still in their bassinet, in our room. They still look so small in the BIG crib!

I have a bow shopping problem! The funny thing is that Ava is already trying to get them off!

He finally woke up!

He is the sweetest boy ever!

Hope you guys had a relaxing weekend! Looking forward to spending more days relaxing with the kiddos and hubby : )

Work Style: Black stripes and red

Top: MNG via Jc Penney (old) * Skirt: Target * Shoes: Jessica Simpson (old)

Happy Wednesday!
I used to shop in the juniors department all.the.time. I guess with age come wisdom, and also means it's time for the "grown up" department. But then I saw this skirt on my way out of Target. So, I tried it on (and did go up one size) and loved it! Then I saw one of my favorite bloggers wearing it. So it justified the buy! Lol I wore this outfit to a meeting. I actually had a blazer to make the outfit more professional.

Cooking Style: Crockpot Balsamic Chicken

Balsamic Chicken in the crockpot

1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon of dried basil
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
2 teaspoons of dried minced onions
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
8 boneless chicken breasts

Combine the first five ingredients and spread over chicken on both sides. Set aside. Pour olive oil and garlic in bottom of crock pot. Place chicken on top. Pour balsamic vinegar on top of chicken. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.

This was my favorite Pinterest recipe thus far. I paired it with grilled asparagus. I baked in the oven for 15 minutes with olive oil on top (a drizzle), then added parmesan cheese.

What's your favorite Pinterest recipe? I would love to hear about it.

Work Style: Animal print and a gray sweatshirt

Sweater: Kohls (similar) * Skirt: Target * Necklace: Ebay * Shoes: Nine West via Lord and Taylor * Clutch: Simply Vera via Kohls

The sweatshirt and skirt look is hard to pull off. I wore this to work, and my sister was not sure of this outfit. I am a sucker for the casual, yet polished look. I liked how it turned. I am all about feeling sure of whatever outfit you put on. Confidence is key! I keep the accessories neutral to keep the look balanced.
And, yes, that is my dog's tail in one of the pictured as well. Lol

Would you wear a sweatshirt to work?

Life Style: Weekend Happenings

My sweet baby boy Aiden.

My two boys. Love how they are looking at each other here.

My sweet girl Ava.

The twins. It's getting hard to get them both to look at the camera.

Ava's Outfit- Onesie: Walmart * Skirt: made by my friend Stephanie * Tights: Marshall's * Bow: Headband (gift) and bow (Kroger!)
Aiden's Outfit- Onesie Walmart * Pants: Old Navy

Jayden, my oldest, painting a pumpkin at Zoo Boo.

My sweet family, minus the twinkies.

Myself, my sister and nephew and my mom at Zoo Boo.

My nephew and Jayden.

Jayden playing tee ball.

Ava and Aiden. We wanted to take them to church but decided to wait until their 4 month shots. Miss going to church as a family. I've been going with Jayden and my sister. The hubs has been taking the twins to his parents.

Ava's Outfit- Dress: Gap * Tights: Target * Bow: Amazon
Aiden's Outfit: Target

We had a great weekend. It was super busy but that's usually typical for us. We bought a minivan, gasp, to fit our growing family. Jayden loves it since he gets to watch tv now. I remember laying in bed on bed rest and missing the busyness of our lives. Sometimes, after such a packed weekend, I wish we could stay in for one day. But I'm so grateful to share these moments with my family.

How was your weekend?

Happy Friday!
Animal sweaters are making a big statement this fall. I got my hands on this cute sweater at Kohls. I love showing you guys how versatile it can be. A cute little old lady loved my sweater and my 4 year wondered why I was wearing a dog. It makes a statement all on its own.
Have a great weekend!

Life Style: DIY Initial Fall Wreath

I have been wanting a Fall wreath for quite some time now. I stopped by the store on Sunday ready to make my own wreath from scratch. I had the wreath, burlap, floral arrangement, letter, paint, etc. then I laughed at myself thinking I was really going to have the time to do it all. So I cheated. I bought a smaller wreath, already done and bought the wooden letter and paint. I had plans to make the wreath fuller but I decided to keep it just like it was. I liked how it turned out! And it was super simple to put together.

Wooden letter
Hot glue

Paint the letter and let it dry completely before adding more paint. Hot glue on to wreath. Voila!
