Here are 2 different looks for New Year's Eve. We are planning on hanging out with family, so I will be wearing a "Night In" outfit. Love adding a little sparkle, even if I'm staying close to home. I would add a glam dress and great jewelry for a Night out on the town.
Hope you have a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve!
Chocolate chip cookies
Recipe makes 2-3 dozen, depending on your spoonfuls.
•2 sticks of butter
•1 cup of brown sugar
•1 cup of white sugar
•3 cups of flour (I used whole wheat flour)
•2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips (I used red and green for Christmas)
•2 tsp. vanilla
•1 tsp. baking soda
•1/2 tsp. salt
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Soften butter and blend together with brown and white sugar.
3.Add in eggs and beat.
4.Add in vanilla and salt.
5.Add in baking soda dissolved in water.
6.Add in flour, 1 cup at a time and beat.
7.Add in chocolate chips.
8.Spoon on to cook sheet.
9.Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are a perfect golden brown
I made these cookies for Christmas Eve and everyone loved them! Nothing like home made chocolate chip cookies.

Sweater: Kohls (similar) * Jeans: Forever 21 (old, similar) * Boots: Sam & Libby via Target * Necklace: Simply Vera Vera Wang via Kohls * Bag: Merona via Target
I'm back with an outfit post for you guys. It's been a busy last few days with the family. I was finally able to take a few pictures before going out on Saturday night.
I am still loving the sweatshirt dressed up look, so I decided to pair my sweatshirt with a pretty necklace. This bag is a pretty red but looks orangey in the pictures for some reason. You can never go wrong with some colored skinny jeans, and I paired them with new booties from Sam & Libby line at a Target. Such comfortable booties with a great heel height. I was able to wear them most of the afternoon and no problem carrying the twins.

Trying out bananas for the first time. Ava loved them!
Aiden did not care for bananas too much.
Ava is sitting on her own (in tripod mode) for a few minutes at a time.
She was reading a book on the iPad and that caught her attention enough to sit.
Aiden is getting much stronger and is loving tummy time now.
Christmas Day smiles for Ava.
Christmas Day smiles for Aiden.
I can't believe how fast they are growing! Slow down babies : ( Ava has a onesie that says "Angel with an Attitude" and it describes her to a t. She is so sweet with mommy and daddy, but we are noticing that she is not so open with others. Aiden on the other hand, loves smiling and talking to any one who will listen. He has been doing a lot more "raspberries" but is no where near sitting on his own. Being a twin myself, I know how important it is to let them develop at their own time. We are working hard on keeping the comparison talk away, and supporting them to grow at their own pace.
We have been having cry fests in the car lately. Sigh. There is nothing more that I hate than crying babies in the car. Well, we have two screaming babies. The last 3 outings have been miserable! Not the whole time, thank God, but usually on the way back or very close to home.
Mommies out there, any feedback to make car trips more enjoyable??
Thanks for stopping by,

It seems like I've been eagerly anticipating this day forever! Its the twins First Christmas! You never forget their firsts, even though they had no idea what in the world was going on. lol I love every minute spent with family making memories. So many wonderful moments but most important of all us celebrating the birth of our Savior! Happy Birthday Jesus!
My parents with the twins.
Yes, it's my dad wearing sunglasses trying to "disguise" himself. Jayden noticed he was wearing the same shoes as "abuelito". Ah, the memories : )
Christmas morning (early morning! After a late Christmas Eve celebration with my family).

My sweet boy Aiden. Yes, he got dirty. And no, I didn't have time to change him.

Our Christmas celebration has begun. We hosted a Christmas dinner this past weekend. My wonderful husband got injured at a soccer game last week. He has a black eye! So he is not allowed to be in pictures. Lol But I warned him that I will be using all sorts of methods to cover his eye tomorrow and Christmas Day. Concealer works wonders! (It's that bad!)
We have a busy Christmas Eve and Day planned and I'm hoping the babies don't get too fussy. They are at that stage where they want to be held. A lot. I can honestly say this mama is tired! Not the sleepless nights tired (thank God!), but tired none the less. We are doing more floor time with them, and they are enjoying playing with their toys. We attempted to drive around and look at Christmas lights in a neighborhood nearby. We tried to do it before their last bottle, but it didn't work. Let's just say next year we will wait until after last bottle and then pack them into the car. That way they can sleep!
I wish all of you and Very Merry Christmas! I hope each of you get to spend this holiday with your loved ones.
