Recipe Tuesday: Green Smoothie

A yummy and healthy smoothie to start off your morning. One of our new year resolutions is to eat cleaner. As in, more fruits and veggies, less things from a box, etc. I have been buying fruit and just separating in Ziploc bags and freezing them. We are so bad about letting food go bad and just tossing it. So by freezing them, I am able to keep fruit in our house much longer.

Ingredients: (Using single serve cup on Ninja blender. You can double the ingredients in regular blender)

1/2 banana
2 or 3 small strawberries
2 or 3 pieces of pineapple
1/2 cup of kale, spinach and chard (I like the Simple Truth Organics brand)
1 cup of almond milk
1 tablespoon of flaxseed
Couple of ice cubes

Mix it all well and enjoy!
