Here is a late edition of Fit Wednesday. I'm trying to stay motivated and in turn, keep you motivated to keep up your work outs and healthy eating habits.
I started Focus T25 this week. I know, I know, I'm late to the party, but I need one last push before our beach vacation in May. I am a fan of Shaun T, and have done Hip Hop Abs and Insanity. Hip Hop Abs is a fun, dance-focused work out. Insanity is a crazy-hard workout, but very effective. And now, I'm doing T25. I just started so I can't give a full review just yet, but I can share what I think so far.
1) It's different than Insanity. It is a more controlled workout. Movements are more focused. I wouldn't say it's easier, but it is doable.
2)25 minutes, 5 times a week. That's it! This busy mama of 3 little ones was sold at 25 minutes.
3) You have a calendar and do a different workout each day, each week. Alpha, the first section, is 5 weeks. The Total Body Toning today kicked my tail. I thought Cardio from the first day was easier than Insanity, but still a great workout.
So far, I'm pumped to have my workouts planned for the next 5 days. It's only 25 minutes, and seriously anybody can work out for 25 minutes right?
I squeeze my workouts in after kids are in bed, about 8pm every night. I don't have to think about it and I have no option. I have to check off the checklist I got with the videos. And nothing feels more motivating than to see the progress along the way :)
