Fit Wednesday: Focus T25 Review

I shared that I started working out to Focus T25 a few weeks ago. I wanted to update you guys on how it's going. It truly is the best workout I have done. I am not a fitness expert, but I have always been interested in fitness and healthy lifestyle. People ask what I have done to shed all the baby weight and put lean mass on, and I always tell them it has been T25. Now, I am a firm believer that diet is very important, almost more than exercise, but this work out kicks your tail. I did the Alpha workout for 3 weeks (instead of 4) because I wanted something a bit harder right before we left to Hawaii, and I'm on my 3rd week of Beta now. I took the week off (from T25) while we were on our trip, but still managed to get 3 days of work outs while I was there. My 45 minute work outs at the gym came now where close. I did 25 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes of weights, and I still felt "flabby" by the end of the week. That also could have been the drinks by the pool : )

I promise you all that this is not a sponsored post. I truly stand behind this product and will share on here what has worked for me in hopes in can you a little motivation to try this or something else that will help you reach your fitness goals. Anyways, here are a few thoughts on what this workout does that really kicks your body into gear:

1) 25 minutes per day. Seriously, this is the reason I wanted to do this work out. I can find 25 minutes a day to do this. For moms with small babies out there, it might not be the perfect time now, but once baby gets into a routine, you will too. I do my workout after all kids are in bed, about 8pm. I have seen such great results that I have done this workout at 930pm.
Find a good time that works for YOU and you will be motivated to keep it going.

2) High Intensity. Enough said. It's a hard work out, but remind yourself that it is only 25 minutes. (The best thing after Insanity in my opinion because of the time).

3) Different routine each day. I really like this part. 25 minutes for 5 days (and optional 2nd workout on the 5th day). This way you work out every single part of your body. Beta uses weights and I really like that as well. You can increase the weight as the weeks go by.

4) I will go back and mention the diet portion to any healthy lifestyle. It's a must. Start with small changes, and then work your way into a complete lifestyle change. After eating for 3 (and gaining 45 lbs with the twins), I had to get used to eating for 1 again. There is no way I could have gone to eating only salads and grilled chicken after giving birth and then pumping for two babies. I started cutting out calories slowly, working my way down to about 1200 calories per day.
