It's a late edition of Fit Wednesday but wanted to update you and keep you motivated this week. You know how much I love my work out videos (Insanity, Focus T25), but I have been running these past couple of weeks and I've been feeling great! It's so easy to get into boredom mode with your workouts. I do it! Your body needs a change of pace to get out if the rut, and running has been one of those easy changes for me. I'm not one to love running. I'm usually the one who says I hate running. Ha! But the change of scenery these past couple of weeks have been great. I felt my body was starting to hit a plateau. I wanted to do a blog post about falling if the wagon, so to speak. It happens. But being healthy and fit takes work, but it also be part of your life.
So change up your routine. Whether it's running or Pilates or a new workout DVD, but doing something fun each day to keep up the motivation. If you want to take a few days off, do it! I actually ended up hurting my back last week. It was pretty bad. I hurt it doing one my workout videos because I was not in the mood to workout. Seriously! Not a smart move, and I learned my lesson. I had to sit out for about 4-5 days to recover. I think it's my age! Lol. I'm not getting younger, so I have to make sure I'm always doing the things to be safe during my workouts. Which tajes me to another topic. Invest in a good pair of tennis shoes. I finally did, and I'm going to say that's the one of the reasons I've been enjoying running as well.
