Tweed, pearls and stripes

Blazer: WHBM (borrowed from my sis, similar) // Shirt: Marshall's // Jeans: Old Navy // Shoes: Target (old, similar) // Necklace: Stella & Dot // Bag: Stella & Dot

Happy Wednesday!
Ok, sorry for the iPhone pictures but this is all I could get :) I've been wanting to wear this blazer since August, but I had to wait until cooler weather (85 instead of 100!). I love the pearl detail, which can dress up any piece, but I wore it with jeans to dress it down a bit. And you can never go wrong with stripes. Makes me wish I could wear jeans to work and then this would be my daily uniform, jeans and a blazer :)

I wore this for a night out with B and friends at a winery. Leave it to me to wear heels (and skinny ones at it!) to a vineyard. But good thing, it was too late at night to do a vineyard tour. I'll have to show you guys my work look with this blazer soon. I didn't have a chance to take pictures but will be wearing it again soon!
Have a great day,

Marvelous in my Monday

Happy Monday!
Here is another edition of Marvelous in my Monday. I felt I did not have much marvelous going on lately (there is always something marvelous going on right?!), but wanted to highlight a few things from our weekend. : )

ONE. B and I went to Haak Winery about 1 hour away from where we live. We went with great friends and had a great time visiting the vineyards, the winery, and of course drinking yummy wine (the best part!). We don't get out for date night very often, but it happened 2 weekends in a row. Yay! We have to use our babysitters wisely, and my mom watched the kids at our house last weekend (my dad is out of town for work), so it is easier for her to spend the night. On Friday night, we left the kids with my in laws for just a few hours. It was much needed and we are so grateful for our wonderful family!

TWO. Everything pumpkin. We visited the pumpkin patch this Saturday with cousins. The kids are getting the most use out of their Halloween t shirts. Except Jayden. He's too cool for holiday t shirts now! Lol

THREE. Anything Nutella. Our favorite weekend breakfast are these little Nutella rolls. Yum! Only picture I got because we devoured them!

FOUR. Family. I love our big, extended family. We get together for each birthday which means we get together about once a week! Love how the twins are getting older and get right into the mix.

FIVE. Beautiful weather. It's still pretty warm in Houston. Which means we can still wear shorts and no shoes for a little backyard hangout. Ava and Aiden love being outdoors. It's truly their favorite thing to do! And Jayden is loving every minute of t ball and practicing on the weekends. Doesn't stop B from asking him if he is ever going to try soccer again. (He's not, Jayden says). :) I cherish these moments the most. Truly warms my heart to share these moments with my little family.

Have a great Monday.

A pop of pink with printed pants

Top: La Rok (old) // Pants: Loft (old) // Blazer: Loft // Shoes: Steve Madden via Ross // Bag: Stella & Dot // Necklace: Stella & Dot

Hi guys,
I just got this necklace from Stella & Dot's new holiday line. And of course, I absolutely love it and want to wear it with everything! I told you all I love any shade of pink :) And what better way to break up black than with a pop of neon pink.  I am glad printed pants are still going strong this fall as well. Speaking of fall, it's still pretty warm in Houston. I will enjoy it since we'll go straight to winter in less than 2 months. Ha!

We are hanging out with friends this weekend. Trying out a winery here in the area. Looking forward to a relaxing one!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Coral and aqua

(Don't mind Aiden photo bombing this last shot : ))

Top: The Limited (similar) // Skirt: The Limited (similar) // Cardigan: Target (similar) // Necklace: Stella & Dot // Bracelet: Stella & Dot // Bag: Stella & Dot // Shoes: Aldo (similar)

Happy Friday guys!
Here is a colorful look for you today. I gravitated toward grays to keep the look together. Wouldn't have thought to pair coral with gray, but liked how it turned into a cheerful fall look :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Red stripes and animal print

Top: Old Navy (similar) // Blazer: Kohls (similar) // Jeans: The Limited (similar) // Shoes: Mix No. 6 via DSW (similar love these!) // Necklace: Stella & Dot // Bag: Stella & Dot // Bracelets: Stella & Dot (1,2) // Sunglasses: Maui Jim (similar)

Happy Tuesday!
I have always loved jeans and blazer outfits. I like how polished it can take simple jeans and a tee, with just a blazer and a statement necklace. And I even added a bit of print mixing with my heels. Now I wish I could pull off jeans to work : ) and with our wonderful fall weather coming (we'll see how long this "cold front" lasts!), can't help but want to pull out all my blazers and scarves!

I haven't been taking too many outfit pictures. Mostly because I am tired by the end of my working day and want to get into comfy pj's as soon as I get home with the kids. I can honestly say I don't usually wear the same outfit twice, but change it up with a necklace or a different top or bottom. So here is to getting creative with different pieces in my closet : )

Have a great Tuesday,

Recipe Tuesday: Crockpot Meatloaf

I didn't grow up eating meatloaf, but B did. I have tried a couple recipes in the past, but most evenings, we do not have an hour to sit around and wait for dinner to cook. I found this recipe on Pinterest (of course!), and it was so incredibly yummy! I prepped everything while the babies were napping on Saturday, and put it in the crock pot for about 6-7 hours. We came home from the pumpkin patch and had a delicious diner waiting for us!

2 eggs, beaten

½ c milk

2/3 c bread crumbs

½ chopped onion

1 t salt

½ t sage

1 ½ lbs lean ground turkey

Ketchup or BBQ Sauce to cover with while cooking (I used ketchup and about 1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce mixed before putting it on top of the meatloaf).

1.Mix all ingredients in a bowl. (Except ketchup and sauce).
2.Place foil in crock pot. Put loaf into crock pot.
3.Cook on low for 6-7 hours

It's that simple!
