New Year's Eve 2014

Happy New Year! If we were going out, I would wear sequins and a bold lip color. But since we are staying in with the kids tonight, I'll definitely wear something a lot more casual and a lot more cozy.
Have a great evening celebrating with loved ones tonight. Looking forward to the hope that a new year brings!

Merry Christmas Eve!
I've been off these past 2 days and it was jammed-packed with activities. We were braved enough to stop by the mall to let the kids enjoy the different activities. We had lunch and then left before it really got crazy. I'm so giddy for Christmas, I feel like a kid all over again : ) Can't wait to watch the kids open their presents and see the excitement in their eyes. Of course Jayden will be in toy heaven. And I really think the twins will enjoy it so much more this year.

I wore this outfit last week but it will work great for a relaxing Christmas Eve day. Swap the heels and clutch for flats and a bucket bag for last minute errands. We actually got cold weather waiting for us outside. I think winter is finally here.

I hope all of you have an awesome Christmas with your loved ones! Thanks so much for all your support!

Happy Friday!
It's been a long week trying to do last minute Christmas shopping and wrap up for the last week of work. Oh my! I've had these pictures on my iPhone and wanted to share before deleting them. My work "uniform", as seen in most of these pictures: chambray top, sweater, skinny pants and a statement necklace. Can't go wrong with that combination :)
My other 2 looks are boyfriend jeans and leggings. I'm glad I finally found a pair of flattering boyfriend jeans at Gap (a steal for $12.50!). My other pair are too baggy and look unflattering on my small frame. The trick is to find skinny jeans and cuff them to make them "boyfriend".

Are you guys ready for Christmas? I wrapped all the gifts. Wow! Early morning wraps this entire week but glad I got that out if the way : ) Our plan is to take the kids to look at Christmas lights tonight. Hoping we have a much better time this year. The twins were so small last year and it was a disaster. Waiting until close to bedtime to look at lights was not a good idea at 5 months old. But they will easily drink milk from their sippy cups now and hoping they fall asleep in their car seats if it gets too late. Too late for them is after 730pm. Lol

I'm taking off for these 2 weeks to spend time with my family. I'll try to stop by and say hi :)

Gray leopard and Chambray

Top: Marshalls (similar) // Sweater: Ross // Leggings: Old Navy (different print) // Boots: Steve Madden via Nordstrom (similar) // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (borrowed from my sis) // Necklace: Rebel (borrowed from my sis), Engraveable// Sunglasses: Jessica Simpson

Happy Wednesday!
Here is to a cheerful last few days before Christmas : ) This look is actually a couple weeks old. It's a great comfy outfit to carry you through the hours of shopping this week before Christmas. Flat boots are a must, and these leggings are so soft for running errands on the weekend. And I borrowed my sister's Rebel pendant, a very popular necklace from Stella & Dot, to keep the look casual. And can be worn to dress up any outfit as well.

Have a great weekend, err, mid week Wednesday. (Can you tell I am counting down the days until Friday? :))

The season for love

December is in full swing with lots to do and super packed weekends. Every time I think I am finally done with all the gifts, I remember one more that I need, or B reminds me of last minute ones to pick up at the store. It seems never ending and I have finding myself complaining. Complaining because there is not enough time to do it all. I haven't even wrapped a single present. There are a ton stashed in the guest room closet, some in the higher cabinets in the kitchen, and I know I have some in my trunk that I picked up today at lunch. We all get lost in the shuffle of the Holiday season. I'm guilty as charged.

Today was one of the days that God wanted to remind me of what we are celebrating. For Christians, it's the birth of Jesus. The gift He gave us when He died on the cross for all our sins. The memories we make with family and friends. The Kindergarten Christmas Program celebrating Jesus. The gift of love. The gift of family and loved ones.

Jayden singing his little heart out at the Program.

I recently met a mom from Jayden's Kindergarten class as we had a play date during the Thanksgiving break. I got to see her again at the Christmas Program tonight. Her son came up to us and said hi and I noticed his mom sitting alone. Jayden had grandparents, his brother and sister, mommy, daddy, aunts and uncles and cousins that came to visit. We quickly walked over to keep her company. She shared with me that she and her son spent Thanksgiving alone (we had over 60+ people at our house!). She told me that her son would really like to play with Jayden during the Christmas break but she had booked a last minute trip to Mexico with her 5 year old. I knew that his daddy and Grandpa had recently passed away. And she told me that she could not stand to spend Christmas by themselves. It broke my heart. I can not imagine spending the Holidays with no other family or friends. I'm the one who worries if our house will fit so many family members. I'm sure she would give anything to be surrounded by so many loved ones. She would not complain about the many gifts to wrap or the last minute gifts she now has to get.

I will cheerfully pick up some more last minute gifts (I'm positive of this one!) and gladly wrap the tons of presents waiting in the closet. Every time I find myself complaining, God has a way of showing me how someone else would gladly do things I am complaining about. This Christmas and Holiday season, I hope you are surrounded by so much love, you will not know what to do with it!

And speaking of love : ) These girls have been our (my sister and I) rock! I have known some of them since middle school. (That's 20 years! Yikes!) We have been there through Birthdays, Graduations, Weddings, births of the kids, my sister's cancer journey, a friend's dad cancer journey, and the list goes on and on. Truly blessed to have such amazing support from all these ladies! They are the type of friends who will drop anything in heart beat to be there for each other.

We attempted a Kid Group picture. There are 13 kiddos now!

Gray and teal

(and just cause she's cute : )) Bow: Willow Crowns // Top: Old Navy (similar)

Top: J Crew (old, similar)// Sweater: Old Navy // Pants: Simply Vera via Kohls (similar) // Necklace: Stella & Dot (sold out, similar) // Bracelet: Stella & Dot // Bag: Stella & Dot (in red and on sale!) // Shoes: Steve Madden via Marshalls

Happy Wednesday!
I seriously love these pants. I could wear them every day because they are very flattering, but most importantly, very comfortable. And I decided on a very simple look for today with gingham and gray. This could be my daily uniform for work: Blouse/sweater combo and skinny pants. It makes it easier to change up any piece and choose this simple outfit on a day I'm running late. Add heels and a statement necklace and you are good to go : )

Have a great one!

Striped dress and polka dots

And I love this picture! It's hard to snap pictures without the kids wanting to get in front of the camera as well, but this reminds me that no matter what, being their mommy is my number one priority : )

Dress: Old Navy // Shoes: Bandolino (old) // Bag: Stella & Dot (similar) // Necklace: Stella & Dot // Earrings: Stella & Dot (sold out) // Tights: Old Navy (in pink polka dots)

Happy Monday!
We had a wonderful (and jammed-packed) weekend and ready to get through these next couple of weeks. Looking forward to taking time off and spending it with the family. I told you that I had been on the hunt for a long sleeve striped dress and bought it off the rack (without trying it on). Ok, it is on the shorter side, and I'm only 5'1, but it works great with tights. I debated it exchanging it for a bigger side, but it fits great otherwise. And as much as I love color, black and white can be so refreshing!

Have a wonderful week!
